Oasis Camping : terms & conditions

  1. Pembs Camping Ltd trading as Oasis Camping will hereinafter be referred to as the Company.
  2. All campers should in ADVANCE of making their booking satisfy themselves that our site suits their needs, viz; touring caravans use pub stopover carpark bordering the main road behind a large hedge, motorhomes may use the camp site if they have a tent too. The camping field is a plateau 35ft above the main services building and entrance, the path to the services (bar, breakfast room, laundry etc) is via an approximate 1 in 6 gradient (for 30 ft), average 1:10. There are duplicate showers and toilets at field level and at complex below. The camping field is 50% flat the remainder varies up to 1:30 gradient.
  3. A Non-refundable holding deposit (if more than 14 days before arrival) will be taken upon booking via the online booking system, or by telephone with a card payment. Receipt confirmation will be issued to you by email only.
  4. Cancellation Policy. Bookings with a total cost of £50 or less are paid in full on booking. This amount is non- refundable. All balances should be paid no later than 7 days prior to arrival. Bookings with a total cost of more than £50 and with all balances paid up to date and in full the following conditions apply; For bookings cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival; the £50 deposit will be retained. Of the balance left you will be refunded 50%. For bookings cancelled between 13 & 8 days prior to arrival; the £50 deposit will be retained. Of the balance left you will be refunded 25%. For bookings cancelled within 7 days prior to arrival, any refunds are at managers discretion in exceptional circumstances. Balance payments are due 2 weeks before your arrival date. In the event of cancellation we can only offer an alternative dates. If however the booking can be resold a refund is issued minus the deposit and a £25.00 administration fee. (We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover this and any other risks such as bad weather).
  5. At off-peak times*2 some services are reduced*3 this may include bar opening hours, secondary toilets, food service and manned reception.
  6. The company is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure")
  7. Electric Hook Ups (EHU) use standard outdoor camping trip protected round pin sockets of 5 amp capacity and are user resetable.
  8. Vehicles : Works or commercial vans are only accepted at our discretion, if you are using any type of commercial vehicle or with trade insignia you will need to email an image and receive our agreement BEFORE booking. Ignoring this condition will invalidate your reservation with total forfeiture.

On site rules

  1. • CheckIn is between 2pm and 11pm on the day of arrival. Late arrivals need to be pre-arranged by calling 01834 790001.
  2. • CheckOut NO LATER than 11.00am on day of departure. New 2024: ½ day extensions until 6pm - only available on day of departure, can not be advanced booked.
  3. • CLEAN PITCH policy - £10 refundable deposit per camping unit is required payable on arrival to cover behaviour, pitch clenliness, refuse disposal*1. When leaving please take refuse to the skip as marked on site the map and ensure all tent pegs are removed from the ground and items cleared, that no holes are dug in the field or fires lit ON THE GRASS, a (limited number of fire cradles are available). Kitchen equipment and utensils can be washed in the utility sinks. Any tents/matresses/BBQ/chairs/equipment dumped in our refuse skip will void your refund.
  4. .Large groups or single sex parties need to write in advance of booking for our agreement which may include extra terms this may be but not limited to £10 per person refundable bond. Any bond will not be returned in cash on the day but sent to you 24 hours after departure via your chosen method of payment and only to the person with whome the booking was made. Ignoring, or disputing this condition on arrival, will your void your reservation.
  5. • Do not leave dogs on their own when you are away. Dog numbers are limited and an additional charge is made for them. If we find a dog has not been declared you will be asked to leave WITHOUT refund. Additionally, most versions are tolorated except dangerous types, please let us know when booking if you think yours could be. We also request that any dogs are kept on a lead at all times and that any dog foul is disposed of immediately in the skip.
  6. • You are requested to adhere to a quiet policy after 11pm when amplified music and musical instruments must stop. In the interests of saftey NO motor vehicles are allowed to enter the camping field between 22:30hrs and 07:00hrs, during these times the lower carpark is the available alternative.
  7. • Please drive sensibly / slowly. Strictly no one without a full drivers license is allowed to drive on this site.
  8. • Practiced campers will be equiped with a torch/phone, appropriate clothing for british summers and footware. The campsite is well drained with gravel paths so mud will not be a problem.
  9. all areas are covered by ico licensed cctv.

Season 2024

1. normal household refuse only, excludes: lilos, matresses, tents, ground sheets, tables chairs.

2. Peak times include Whitsun week, last week July until August bank holiday monday.

3. breakfasts are basic wraps hot drinks only, reception is on demand attendance by telephone.
